Gifts From Above

"And Father, I pray that you would help us to view our children as blessings and not as burdens, as your word tells us--they are a blessing from the Lord..."

This simple prayer, prayed last week in bible study by another woman, was the gentle reminder I needed (once again!).  I need to remember to view my children through my Father's eyes and not my own.

And when I do this, I see 2 beautiful, shiny, bright faces that reflect the love my husband & I have for God and for each other.  They are hungry, they are curious, they are vivacious.... and they are gifts.

Today I choose to receive them as such.  Today I choose to feed them, to clothe them and teach them....AND to enjoy them.  Thank you, Lord, for my daughters :)
